Our Story

Jewellery, gold and diamonds were not on the radar of 19-year-old Ashley Portas, but after taking over the rights to a courier run in the Brisbane CBD, he was thrown into a fascinating world of gemstones and scintillation.

Many of Ashley’s clients were the country’s biggest and best diamond wholesalers, gem merchants, precious metal and alloy jewellery manufacturers. Little did he know that most of these customers would go on to become his major suppliers in the coming years.

From Ipswich delivery boy to diamond merchant and founder of the premier Brisbane engagement ring jeweller Diamondport, Ashley has earned an exceptional reputation for delivering the WOW behind so many couple’s happily ever after.
