A lovely tiny house is available on the property for couples to stay in the night of their wedding or book the night before and get ready on your wedding day!

Ceremony

Ceremony takes place in a beautiful Pine Tree Forest in front of an incredibly old Gumtree.

Photo Location

We have several stunning areas for photos at our venue.
Beautiful photos in the forest, photos with the cows, bridal couple can go for a drive with our in house photographer Glenn for some extra photos around the farm.

Reception

We offer an afternoon type reception. We have packages with Fleurieu Wood Ovens. Everyone has to be gone prior to dark.

About Sandy Hill Forest

Sandy Hill Forest is based one hour south of Adelaide on the beautiful Fleurieu Peninsula in Yankalilla on private property. Sandy Hill consists of a gorgeous pine tree forest with an incredible old gumtree tree that is truly spectacular. A perfect place to say ”I do” with your other half in front of your nearest and dearest.

The team at Sandy Hill specialise in elopements and small weddings allowing a maximum of 30 people. We would love to help create your wedding dreams right here with gorgeous photo opportunities and memories to be made.

Venue History

Sandy Hill Forest is on our family farm. I’ve had so many people over the years say how lucky we are to live here. I have always had a passion for weddings. After losing my husband in 2019 from Cancer I was looking for something to keep my brain busy.

My wedding day was the best day of my life.

In my forest we have this amazing gum tree amongst the pines. I decided I wanted to have a go at doing elopement weddings and micro weddings up to 30 people. It was definitely one of the best decisions I have made. It is such a pleasure to have hosted so many lovely couples weddings in the last 1.5 years ❤️

Sandy Hill Forest Elopement Packages

1. Sandy Hill Forest Full Package:
Venue, Styling, Celebrant, Photography + Pizza

This package is the true Sandy Hill Forest experience with venue, styling, celebrant, photography and catering taken care of. We maintain a maximum number of 30 guests to ensure Sandy Hill Forest is the most intimate experience on offer.

2. 5 hour venue hire, Ceremony styling, 3 hours of photography and a celebrant for a beautiful romantic wedding.

3. 3 hour venue hire, 2 hours of photography and celebrant for your nuptials. With this package you might choose to keep the styling to a minimum, DIY or choose your our stylist.

4. A special Monday to Thursday 1.5 hour elopement package with 1 hour of photography. With just the essential marriage requirements and a sprinkle of personal touch we are able to offer this service at a reduced cost. (Plus the bonus of having photos in an amazing location!)

5. Exclusive venue hire of Sandy Hill Forest where you can BYO food and drink or book with our recommended caterers. We have two wedding locations that can be utilised in the forest where your photographer is welcome to use both.
