‘The Country House’ – 5 bedroom, 3 bathroom

Ceremony

This is a BYO venue- you need to arrange catering, mobile bars, outdoor seating, florists and so on.

Photo Location

The houses have beautiful Australian colonial interiors for getting ready shots. and countless outdoor options- large paddocks, dams, rustic farm equipment and outbuildings form a photographers dream backdrop. As well as stunning Brokenback mountain views. The local kangaroos might even photo bomb you.

Reception

Receptions can be held outdoors in various locations. Options for seated dining are in the banquet room or deck at The Country House both seating up to 20 guests.

Location & History

Set on 100 acres of private rural property. Corunna Station was the largest sheep shearing station in the Hunter Valley.

The property retains all the original agricultural buildings including the Shearing Shed, Hay shed and Wood mill. These make unique backdrops for you wedding party photos.

The three houses have been lovingly restored whilst keeping their heritage features. 

Elopements

Please contact us for a quote- we do not charge a venue hire fee. Minimum stays are 2 nights weekdays, and weekends. 3 nights for public holidays.

Accommodation must be booked as part of an elopement and minimum numbers are required:

Minimum 4 Cooks House
Minimum 6 Homestead
Minimum 10 Country House 
Maximum- 20 guests over 3 houses
Minimum stay 2 nights weekdays and weekends
Minimum stay 3 nights public holidays

Accommodation Options

There are three accommodation options to choose from:

The Cooks House

2 bedroom, 2 bathrooms (great for the bride and maid of honour the night before, and bride and groom after the ceremony)

The Homestead

3 bed, 2 bath (great for groomsmen/ family)

The Country House

5 bedroom, 3 bathroom (great for a family with kids) It has an airconditioned banquet room that seats 20, as well as an outdoor deck also seating 20. Equipped with 2 fridges, dishwashers and ovens this is the house for catering to large groups.

The houses can be booked in any configuration to suit your numbers- The Cooks House and Homestead combined sleeps 10 people. Taking the whole station sleeps 20. Each bedroom has king beds that can be split into singles. 

The houses are 200 meters apart.

All houses are fully self-catering, airconditioned and have great outdoor spaces with BBQ’s

After what felt like forever planning a ‘normal’ wedding with all our family and friends with all the obstacles of a pandemic, we made the difficult decision to elope with just the two of us… and boy did we make the right decision! We arrived at the stunning Corunna Station the night before the big day and were straight away blown away by the property. The landscape, the view out of every single window, the decor in the home, the comfy beds, waking up to kangaroos out the window, everything was just perfect and we couldn’t wipe the smiles off our faces. On the day of our wedding, we were so relaxed, taking the time to have breakfast, set up the ceremony area and get ready together. After the ceremony and photos, Todd and I played lawn games, enjoying a platter and the peaceful, picturesque surrounds.  Angela was easy to contact and answered all my questions in the lead up to the wedding.
