About The Panorama Hotel

The Panorama Hotel is a multi-award-winning absolute waterfront venue with 60 accommodation rooms, four conference/function rooms, along with The Bay Bistro and magnificent Deck. We also offer a seasonal heated inground swimming pool, secure mountain bike storage, and large carpark.

Whether you’re here on holidays, for work, an event or the world class mountain biking, The Panorama Hotel is the perfect location for your next trip to Tassie’s East Coast.

Our hotel is located right on the edge of Georges Bay in St Helens with stunning views, and within walking distance to the main street, a 10-minute drive to the Bay of Fires, Binalong Bay, the famous Peron sand dunes at Akaroa and Lease 65 oyster farm, or you can ride-in-ride-out to some of the world’s best mountain bike trails.

The Panorama Hotel is under new ownership and management from December 2023, with many improvements already underway and we are excited to share this wonderful location with our guests.

THE PANORAMA DECK

The Panorama Deck is our outdoor event area which overlooks the Georges Bay. This area is suitable for wedding ceremonies, private dining, celebrations, or a cocktail party and only can be used when weather permitting.

Area capacity: up to 250 people (stand up)

WATER FRONT ROOM

The Waterfront Room has access to our deck with magnificent panoramic views of the Georges Bay. It has fireplace which can be used if needed and also has access to our Bistro Bar. This room has high ceilings and beautiful modern lighting.
This room is perfect for your special occasion, celebration, cocktail party, or private dining.

Room capacity: up to 200 people (stand up)
Floor area: +/- 248sqm (15.5m x 16m)
Room hires includes:

mic, projector, speaker, whiteboard with marker, lectern (subject to availability)

ROBERT BURNS ROOM

The classic Robert Burns Room has natural light flooding in through from the windows. This space is ideal for wedding receptions, gala events, private occasions, special events, or work functions.

Room capacity: up to 350 people (stand up)
Floor area: +/- 220sqm (18.2m x 12.1m)
Room hires includes:

LEPRENA & DERWENT BELLE ROOM

The Leprena & Derwent Belle Room has ample natural light from the windows, and can be used for a range of meetings, presentations, workshops, small gatherings, or private dining.

The room capacity: up to 20 people
Floor area: +/- 45.5sqm (7m x 6.5m)

Food was very good, and staff service was exceptional, I also used the conference facilities for a zoom call…. Staff went out of their way to assist me as I am in a powered wheelchair and found this hotel extremely accessible. The hotel is under new management and rooms are being upgraded. When this is finished it will be a jewel in the north east!. We will stay again.”
