One Tree Hill Maleny Elopement
One of the most iconic wedding & elopement locations on the Sunshine Coast, Queensland, is ‘One Tree Hill’ at Maleny. It is located on the private property of a working farm and has some of the best views out over the Glass House Mountains. It has been the wedding photo location for hundreds of loved up couples over the years. And this was the amazing location for Isobel & Rhys’ intimate elopement, which was photographed by the equally amazing Naturally Jek Photography.
This is how the love story of Isobel and Rhys started…
“We met at the local pub where he so smoothly won me over by splitting his pants clean in two and asked/begged me to take him home so he could change. I was sober he definitely was not haha.”

“We were upfront and honest about it I don’t think everyone loved the idea at first but they came around we also had COVID to take into consideration and lockdown or not we were getting married that day even if it was just us two on a hill.”

“I had heard about one tree hill from my sister in law and I asked my husband if we could go and look at it. It instantly reminded me of home with the rolling hills and green landscape it became our wedding venue then and there.”
“We had our ceremony just before sunset on one tree hill. We had an acoustic singer and our friends standing around with a handful of chairs for the people who couldn’t stand it was quick simple and perfect.
“The night before our wedding it hailed like torrential rain and hail we were petrified we’d have to get married inside the air bnb. My cake also fell over twice the morning of the wedding and required some quick reconstruction but somehow none of this mattered.”
